The short answer: Across five seasons, 20 couples have left Single’s Inferno together, and as of October 19, 2026 none of them has publicly confirmed they’re still a couple. Season 5’s Lim Su-been and Park Hee-sun confirmed at the February 2026 reunion that they were dating. In August, though, Hee-sun said in a YouTube video that she’s single, and neither has commented on a split. Lee Joo-young and Kim Jae-jin were still seeing each other at the reunion but never put a label on it. The happiest ending so far is off-script: Season 3’s Lee Gwan-hee and Yu Si-eun, who weren’t a final couple, confirmed in July 2026 that they’re dating (StarNews; NME; Indiatimes).
Single’s Inferno is the show that taught the world the rules of Korean dating TV. Singles are stranded on a remote island. They can’t reveal their age or job until they win a night in “Paradise,” and at the end each man walks up to the woman he wants to leave with. If she takes his hand, they go home as a couple (Wikipedia).
Real life has been tougher on those couples than the island ever was. Cast members have said that busy schedules and long-distance relationships got in the way. Some of them simply never said anything at all. Netflix has already renewed the show for Season 6, so here’s the full record so far.
A note on how we report this: we only call a couple “together” or “split” when at least one of the pair has said so, on the show, in an interview or on their own channels. Where neither has said anything, we say so and don’t guess from Instagram follows.

Sources: TV Insider, Dexerto, NME and the individual reports linked below. Final couples as listed by Dexerto, which counts 20 across Seasons 1 to 5.

Season 1 (December 2021 – January 2022): four couples, no lasting romances
The original season streamed from December 18, 2021 to January 8, 2022 (Wikipedia), and four couples left together.
- Song Ji-a and Kim Hyeon-joong. The season’s headline pairing didn’t last off-screen. When fans noticed that Hyeon-joong had unfollowed Ji-a, he explained to Maeil Business Newspaper that he’d done it to avoid “unnecessary rumors,” and called her “a kind and bright friend who works extremely hard” (via TV Insider).
- Kang So-yeon and Oh Jin-taek. Many fans thought they were still together a month after the finale, but both have since moved on (Dexerto).
- Shin Ji-yeon and Moon Se-hoon. (Some outlets romanise her name as Je-yoon.) They stayed friends, and later filmed a Q&A together for Ji-yeon’s YouTube channel in which she confirmed she was single.
- An Ye-won and Kim Jun-sik. Busy schedules got in the way. “We did meet up a few times and kept each other updated, so we decided to stay good friends,” Ye-won said after the season aired (via TV Insider).
The plot twist: Season 1’s only wedding didn’t involve a castmate. Choi Si-hun, who left the island without a match, married singer Ailee on April 20, 2025 in Seoul (The Korea Times).

Season 2 (December 2022 – January 2023): the couple who made it past a year
Season 2 ran from December 13, 2022 to January 10, 2023. It also introduced the world to Dex, who has been on the panel since Season 3.
- Choi Seo-eun and Jo Yoong-jae came closest to a happy ending. They picked each other from the start, dated after filming and hosted a fan meet-and-greet together in early 2023. When fans asked them about marriage in an Instagram Live, Yoong-jae replied, “I hope so” (StyleCaster). The Tab reports that they dated for just over a year. After that, photos and comments disappeared from their Instagram accounts. Neither has ever publicly confirmed a split or given a reason (The Tab; TV Insider).
- Shin Seul-ki and Choi Jong-woo. Seul-ki surprised everyone by choosing Jong-woo in the finale. Neither has said publicly whether they dated afterwards, and TV Insider reports they don’t appear to have stayed together.
- Lee So-e and Kim Se-jun. Friends. Se-jun has called So-e his “dongsaeng,” a Korean term for a younger sibling or friend (Dexerto).
Season 3 (December 2023 – January 2024): no final couples, one real one
Season 3 streamed from December 12, 2023 to January 9, 2024, with a twist: two separate Inferno islands. Four couples left together.
- Choi Hye-seon and Lee Gwan-hee. Gwan-hee settled things in a YouTube update: “First of all, I want to tell you that we are not a couple.” He said their schedules made it too difficult, and that they still keep in touch (Dexerto).
- Yu Si-eun and Choi Min-woo. They were the first pair in the show’s history to choose each other without ever going to Paradise together. They never confirmed a relationship, and Dexerto says they appear to be close friends.
- Kim Gyu-ri and Park Min-kyu. Neither has said where they stand, so we can’t confirm anything.
- An Min-young and Lee Jin-seok. “Since Min-young and I each have our own businesses, we are focusing on our own work, so we are not dating at the moment,” Jin-seok said in January 2024 (via Dexerto).
Then came the twist. On July 29, 2026, Lee Gwan-hee and Yu Si-eun announced, in separate posts, that they’re a couple: “During this time, we quietly spent time getting to know each other amidst the warm interest from many people” (StarNews; Chosun Biz). Sports Chosun reports they’ve been together since December 2025 (Sports Chosun). Neither left the island with the other, so they aren’t counted as a final couple. They are, as far as we know, the only Single’s Inferno romance to be publicly confirmed in 2026.
Season 4 (January – February 2025): fan favourites, friends now
Season 4 streamed from January 14 to February 11, 2025, and four couples left the island.
- Lee Si-an and Yuk Jun-seo were the season’s strongest pairing. They posted warm tributes to each other after it aired, but in March 2025 Jun-seo said on MBC’s The Manager (Omniscient Interfering View) that they weren’t together and were “good friends now” (Koreaboo; TV Insider).
- Bae Ji-yeon and Kim Tae-hwan. Neither has said publicly whether they dated after the show.
- Kim A-rin and Kook Dong-ho. Fans spotted A-rin’s Instagram photos and hoped they’d lasted, but neither has ever confirmed a relationship. Dexerto reports that fans now suspect they aren’t together (Dexerto). Until one of them says something, we file this one under “unconfirmed.”
- Kim Hye-jin and An Jong-hoon. No public statement either way, and TV Insider reports no sign that they continued.
Season 5 (January – February 2026): the first reunion, and the most answers yet
Season 5 had the show’s biggest cast, 15 singles (Netflix Tudum). It streamed in weekly batches from January 20 to February 10, 2026, and five couples left together. It was also the first season to get a reunion: the six-episode Single’s Inferno Reunion, released on February 14 and filmed around December 2025 (NME).
- Park Hee-sun and Lim Su-been. At the reunion they confirmed they were dating. They had gone on a handful of dates before Hee-sun went back to the US to study, then kept things going with regular calls. Hee-sun has since come back to Korea as an exchange student at Seoul National University (Vogue Hong Kong). Update: in an August 2026 YouTube video, Hee-sun described herself as single and said her standards for a relationship had become higher. That set off breakup speculation. Neither has publicly confirmed a split (Indiatimes).
- Lee Joo-young and Kim Jae-jin. They didn’t label it, but at the reunion they said they’d stayed in close contact. Jae-jin goes to her art exhibitions and she goes to his dance shows. “To the people who are curious about us, I am serious about my desire to… get to know Joo-young more,” Jae-jin said (TV Insider). A month later, The Tab reported they were still meeting up (The Tab). We haven’t found a public update from either of them since.
- Kim Min-gee and Song Seung-il. They didn’t become a couple. At the reunion, Min-gee described their post-show contact as “one-sided.” Seung-il said they “didn’t end up becoming an actual couple” and were friends (NME).
- Choi Mina Sue and Lee Sung-hun. They kept in touch but didn’t date. Sung-hun lives in New York, and they told the reunion that distance and work had kept them apart (NME; CNA Lifestyle).
- Kim Go-eun and Woo Sung-min. They met a few times after filming but didn’t continue. At the reunion, Go-eun agreed to dinner with fellow islander Jo I-geon. Whether that went anywhere is unconfirmed (Vogue Hong Kong).
Why don’t Single’s Inferno couples last?
The cast have given the same answers again and again: busy jobs, different cities (several Season 5 islanders live in the US) and very little time together. Seasons are filmed months before they stream, so couples have to keep things quiet while they’re still getting to know each other. Single’s Inferno also never claimed to be a marriage show. Unlike Love Is Blind, nobody leaves engaged, and the end goal is just a date that turns into a second date.
The good news is that the show makes friends. Cast members keep turning up in each other’s YouTube videos, on each other’s podcasts and at each other’s events. And the Gwan-hee and Si-eun story shows that a spark can come back long after the cameras stop.
What’s next
Netflix confirmed Season 6 on February 11, 2026, a day after the Season 5 finale (Netflix). No release date has been announced yet. Here’s everything we know about Single’s Inferno Season 6, and for more Korean reality, head to our Korean Reality hub.
