The short version: Asked at LAX on Monday, October 26 if she wants her shelved Bachelorette season released, Taylor Frankie Paul said: “Yes, absolutely, 100%,” in video obtained by TMZ, Complex reports.
What she said
Paul pointed to the work her contestants and crew put in. Asked about a second season, she said: “Well, they better release it,” adding, “and yes, I’ve teased about it.” She also said therapy has helped her since filming, and that she is “single and mingling.”
Why it was pulled
ABC shelved the season three days before its planned March 22 premiere, after TMZ published a 2023 video involving Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen. Disney said it would “not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time.”
The door isn’t shut: in May, Disney’s Rob Mills said, “It’s still day-to-day, so we’ll see,” per Complex. A Change.org petition for its release has passed 25,000 verified signatures.
The spoiler
Paul has already revealed on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives that suitor Doug Mason proposed in the finale and she said yes, before she reconnected with Mortensen.
