The short version: Big Brother sent Omar El Mayer and Frankie Taber home through the back door on Wednesday, November 4, in the middle of a 1920s murder-mystery task. That leaves a final six of Catrin, Lynx, Rochelle, Samuel, Twinks and Yasmin, who compete for £100,000 in the live final tonight, Thursday, November 5, at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX (ATV Today; The Sun). The winner has not been decided yet.
The vote freeze, then the twist
This exit had been coming since Tuesday. As we explained in our final week guide, the public vote to win froze at 9am UK time on November 3, so whoever was polling lowest could be removed before the final. Fans spotted the freeze straight away. Capital noted that no Big Brother series had ever had an eight-person final, so many viewers assumed somebody would leave quietly.
It also came only days after the last live double eviction, when Philip Regan and Rhianna Collins went out on October 30 (our recap).
A “kidnapping” that was really an eviction
Wednesday’s episode turned the house into a 1920s set for a detective task called June’s Journey. Big Brother told the house that four housemates, Omar, Rochelle, Frankie and Twinks, had been “kidnapped.” Everyone else had to play detective and pass a series of challenges to bring them back, according to ATV Today.
The four in the task room were never told outright that this was an eviction, The Sun reported, though they guessed one might be coming. Rochelle was the first to be freed after the house cleared a task, and Twinks followed.
Then Omar was named as the ninth housemate evicted. Frankie, still in the room, was briefly relieved. “I can’t believe I’m still here,” he said, per The Sun. Moments later Big Brother told him it was not over, and he became the tenth housemate out. London Now says his exit came less than a minute after Omar’s.

There was no crowd and no live interview with AJ Odudu and Will Best. The pair simply left through the back door. Back in the house, Yasmin broke down in tears and Rochelle was also emotional. Yasmin had been especially close to Frankie and never got a proper goodbye.
Why it was those two
The Daily Mail reported that Omar and Frankie had received the fewest votes to win. Omar had been one of the most talked-about housemates of the series. The paper said more than 22,000 viewers complained to regulators about his behaviour towards Rhianna, his on-off partner in the house. Betting site OLBG said he had been the outsider in the winner market at the start of the week, so his exit was not a huge shock.
Frankie’s departure was more of a surprise. The 23-year-old marketing manager from Eltham had been in the house since launch night on September 13 and, like Lynx and Omar, had never once faced the public vote before this week, London Now noted. Days into the series he came out as bisexual in the Diary Room, one of the most talked-about moments of the year.
Both men sat down with GK Barry and Kate Lawler for their first interview after leaving, on Big Brother: The Group Chat. ITV’s episode notes say Frankie talked about coming out on national TV and how he felt after his sudden exit, while Omar discussed his relationship with Rhianna, and both gave their picks for the winner.
Twinks’ costume complaint
The task also had lighter moments. ATV Today says Twinks was unhappy with her blue 1920s dress next to Rochelle’s more glamorous look, joked that she had been dressed as a “1920s admin assistant,” and asked for evening gloves. She later told Frankie her mood may have been about more than the outfit, after Rochelle had said she talked about sex too much.
The final six and the odds

Voting is open again, and viewers can cast up to five votes for the housemate they want to win. The vote will freeze during the live show, with five more votes each time it reopens (ATV Today).
The bookmakers see a two-way race, but odds are not results. As of the evening of November 4, OLBG listed William Hill prices of:
- Twinks (Lucinda Burnett): 4/6 favourite
- Rochelle Rackham: 5/4
- Yasmin: 16/1
- Samuel Keen: 20/1
- Lynx Noumey: 40/1
- Catrin Richards: 80/1
OLBG also pointed out that Rochelle was 20/1 with bet365 only two weeks ago, the same week she received eight nominations from her housemates.
