Spoilers for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 7, episode 8, “Reiki’d Over the Coals,” which aired Wednesday, November 4, 2026 on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
The short version: Angie Katsanevas branded Bronwyn Newport a “snake” at Quai’s reiki gathering, then, over lunch, turned Mary Cosby’s question about her husband and child back on Mary, whose only son died this year. Mary called her Jen Shah and left, saying she never wanted to look at Angie again (Vulture; Reality Blurb).
Something is going on with Angie
All season, viewers have known more than most of the cast. Angie has been privately struggling in her marriage to Shawn, and only Heather really knows. The rest of the group just sees a friend who keeps stirring things up. This week that gap finally caught up with everyone.
The episode opened gently. Lisa Barlow worked with a vocal coach and said her thyroid troubles had once left her unable to sing, while husband John told the cameras he was “happy to worship her” (Reality Blurb). Lisa’s goal, as Vulture’s Tom Smyth put it, is not local theatre but Lady Gaga-sized fame.

Then the knives came out. Shopping at Kemo Sabe with Heather Gay, Bronwyn showed up in jeans, which she says she only wears when she is in a bad mood. She was still angry about the Jupiter party, where she felt Angie had delivered Lisa’s gossip on purpose, acting as “Lisa’s soldier.” Angie argued she was only being a friend and joking around, and pointed out Bronwyn had laughed at the time. Whitney Rose skipped the outing altogether because she was still upset with Heather.
Away from the group, Angie took a bigger step. After proudly showing her father the Grindr award she won as Housewife of the Year, she told him and her brother about the distance in her marriage. Her dad’s message was simple: they would back her whatever she decided, because life is too short to be unhappy (Vulture).
The reiki party goes wrong before it starts
Quai planned a reiki session to reset the group’s energy. Britani was not invited. On the drive over, Mary told Bronwyn she was hurt that Angie never checked on her after she stormed out of the Jupiter party, and instead stayed behind to film a TikTok with Britani, the woman Mary had been fighting with.
When Angie tried to clear the air, Mary refused. She told Angie she was “moving weird,” was not being a good friend, and had a “head of granite.” Angie ran off in tears. Because Mary had arrived with Bronwyn, Angie decided Bronwyn had wound her up, and when she came back she called Bronwyn a snake. The reiki practitioner arrived with her drum mid-rant (TV Grapevine).
Lisa and Mary sat out the readings. The practitioner told Angie to let go of anger, and Angie left her session overwhelmed. Heather joked in a confessional that the healer had no idea she was seeing someone.
“What happened to your child?”
Lunch started with progress, as Whitney and Lisa reached a shaky peace. Then Angie took the floor again. Per Reality Blurb, she called Bronwyn a deflector and a “slithering snake,” and claimed a trusted source told her Bronwyn was only keeping things friendly with her ex, Todd, until an $85,000 payment came through. Bronwyn hinted she could share what Shawn has told Todd, since the two men are friends.
Mary then told Angie she had become self-centred and asked what had happened to her husband and child. Angie fired the question straight back: “What happened to your husband? What happened to your child? What are you talking about?”
It landed hard. Mary lost her only child, Robert Cosby Jr., at age 23 earlier this year, as she discussed on the Season 7 premiere (Bravo). Vulture says the room froze and Whitney left to be sick. Angie later said she forgot whose situation she was talking about and meant that being a mother should not stop anyone looking after themselves.
Angie kept crying, shouting about facials and throwing cutlery. “Somebody get Jen Shah out of here,” Mary said, invoking the former cast member. Lisa and Whitney stayed with Angie while Heather and Meredith Marks went to Mary. Mary would not hear it from Bronwyn and left, telling the group that she and her son did not deserve what Angie said (TV Grapevine). Angie followed her to the parking lot, but Mary was finished.
Where it leaves them
Angie and Mary have been close all season, with Angie saying she spends hours on the phone with Mary every night. After this, an apology looks like a long shot, and Bronwyn’s threat about Shawn hangs over Angie’s still-private split. We’ll keep tracking it.
